Spend 4 days hiking daily from your Base at Chacma, through the Maseke / Balule Game Reserve, one of the most northerly, remote areas of the Greater Kruger. The terrain is rocky but an easy-going walk, covering quite a distance each day – but with plenty of refreshments and rest-breaks.

Unwind and relax in nature, with plenty of walking, fresh air, serenity and exciting game sightings, quenching the thirst of those seeking a touch of adventure, yet knowing they will return to a lovely room with airconditioning and a hot shower.
A hiking safari in the wild Kruger Park is best enjoyed during the cooler months of the year, May to October, outside of the rainy season, when the grass is shorter and makes for better walking and Game viewing.
Each day is spent walking through the 8000-hectare reserve, and each night is spent at Chacma Bush Camp.
This is the adventure of a lifetime for those who want to get to know the Kruger, and its wildlife, without having to camp beneath the stars.
The walking is easy to moderate in hiking terms. You should be in good health with a decent fitness level.

Late afternoon, a cheese platter, snacks and refreshments will be on offer at Chacma. A late afternoon walk or game drive complete the daily experience, before drinks around the fire, followed by a delicious dinner.
Itinerary
A Typical Day Itinerary
05h30 – Wake up to a breakfast of fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, cereals, coffee and rusks, kit up in walking gear, and start your daily walk.
10h00 – As the temperature starts to rise, we make our way back to Chacma Camp where refreshments and brunch await you.
After Brunch relax by the pool or in the comfort of your room.
15h00 – You will be served a cheese board with all the trimmings.
16h00 – Depart on the afternoon Game Drive with sun-downers.
19h00 – Evenings are spent around the campfire mulling over the day’s experiences and sightings.
20h00 Dinner is served.
