StoryScape Travel Booking Process

Once you have contacted us and we understand your travel requirements, which normally takes many email reiterations, we will tailor-make an itinerary for you and send you a quote. The quote will include a full description of your proposed trip in an electronic Itinerary, so you can virtually ‘live’ your holiday. Even after this, you can expect exchanges of correspondence (e-mails & phone calls) with your tour consultant, whilst  preparing your final quotation. We encourage our clients to work closely with our consultants during this process to ensure our quote reflects your exact requirements.

 Once you confirm you are happy with our proposal, we book and confirm all the accommodation and service providers in your proposed itinerary.  You have 7 days in which to pay a 20% deposit (if we are also booking internal South African air travel for you, we will require 100% of the air portion). Upon receipt of this deposit, we will pay the required deposit for service providers and accommodation.

 The balance of your tour price is due 60 days before your arrival in Africa.

 Once we have received full payment from you, we pre-pay all the accommodation and service providers and prepare your travel Itinerary documents for you. Your confirmation vouchers will be sent to you electronically. If you have chosen a self-drive holiday your roadbook including all directions and GPS coordinates, your accommodation and the excursions and items of interest you have discussed with your travel consultant. Prior to your departure to Africa, your tour consultant will continue to liaise with you and will be available to answer any questions you might have.

 At StoryScape Travel, we understand that any holiday should be somewhat flexible, especially for self-drive visitors. Should you wish to change the content of any day, prior to or during your holiday, we will be available, during working hours, to assist you with these changes and send you an updated electronic Itinerary which you can view on your laptop or smartphone. Please be aware that we can change hotel requirements, but it is unlikely that you will receive a refund for days paid for and not used if it is last minute. During your time in Africa, we are available 24 hours a day to assist you should any unforeseen issues or complications arise. Our 24-hour number will be given to you when we send you your confirmation vouchers.
