Kruger Hiking Safari

Kruger Hiking Safari

For Guys who like being close to nature, and walk on the wild-side.

A once in a life-time experience!
Duration: 4 days, 3 nights
Destination: Maseke Private Reserve, Greater Kruger
Accommodation: Mobile Tented Safari Camps
Interests: Fauna and Flora, Wild-Life, Walking, Photography, Birding, Game Drives, Bush Dinners

Spend 4 days hiking The Africa On Foot Wilderness Trail through the Maseke / Balule Game Reserve, one of the most northerly, remote areas of the Greater Kruger, in big 5 territory. The terrain is rocky and an easy-moderate hike, covering quite a distance each day – but with plenty of refreshments and rest-breaks.

This hike is not about the distance covered in a day or your average heart-rate or fitness level, but about the sensation of experiencing the bush at it’s best and that feeling of raw vulnerability, mixed with wild abandon!

This is the perfect, most unique breakaway for a group of Guys looking to unwind and relax in nature, with plenty of walking, fresh air, serenity and exciting game sightings, quenching the thirst of those seeking a touch of adventure.

Each day is spent walking through the 8000-hectare reserve, and each night is spent at a fully set up mobile campsite in a scenic location in the wilderness.

This is the adventure of a lifetime for those who want to get to know the Kruger soil and camp beneath the stars. This could be considered ‘roughing it’, as there are no super luxurious elements to the camp, but it is nothing less than comfortable and designed to give you an immersive experience in the Kruger bush.

The walking is easy to moderate in hiking terms. You should be in good health with a decent fitness level.

A maximum of 10 guests (sleeping in 5 tents) are taken on this Kruger walking adventure.

A professional trained guide and tracker team will lead an informative, thrilling, and unforgettable walk in the wild. While guests are out exploring the Kruger on foot, a ground team will be taking down the first camp and setting up the next one in a new location.

While walking in the bush, you will unexpectantly come across a table and chairs with a lovely lunch, cooked for you on an open fire  with fresh salads and all the trimmings.

Late afternoon, a lovely cheese platter, snacks and refreshments will be on offer at camp. A late afternoon walk or game drive complete the daily experience, before a simple yet delicious campfire dinner. A proper bed in a canvas dome tent awaits you with its own separate toilet, bucket shower and warm water. Camping at its best!
