The Uitkomst Waterfall Hike is part of the previously known Num-Num Trail, situated in the Northern Drakensberg and is also the proud destination of the waterfall called the UitKomst or Bridal Waterfall, the second-highest waterfall in Mpumalanga!!

This is a beautiful hiking breakaway, where indigenous forests, rock pools and ancient mountain ravines lead you to the second-highest waterfall in Mpumalanga.

The Uitkomst Waterfall, situated on the Bermanzi trail, is steeped in history, movie making and even has its own Legend!

The Waterfall, also known as “Brides Leap Falls“, comes from the legendary tragedy that happened in the 1950’s when a young newly married couple came to have their pictures taken.

A gush of wind caught her wedding dress and swept her off the edge, where she fell to her untimely death. The legend goes that her new groom leaped to his death after her, some say immediately, some say a year later on their first wedding anniversary.
