What makes this Breakaway absolutely unique?
This Breakaway is really centered around Hiking in pristine African Bush with the best, most knowledgeable Guides available. The landscape is extremely varied with large areas of open savannah and lovely river beds. The bush is not dense with thorn bush and is ideal for hiking and game viewing.
In principle the hiking takes place in the early morning and late afternoon. Only if the weather (Heat or Rain) interferes with the afternoon Hike, normally only during the Summer season, Game Vehicles will provide an alternative experience.
This is the perfect, most unique breakaway for Ladies looking for a combination of creature comforts and real hiking experience in Big 5 territory.
Unwind and relax in nature, with plenty of hiking, fresh air, silence & serenity and exciting game sightings, yet knowing you will return to a lovely setting with air-conditioning, a hot shower, great food and a cool pool with a fantastic view.

Your Team comprising David, & brother-sister combination Troy & Sabre were all born and raised in the Manyeleti Game reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park.
David’s father managed the Manyeleti, and Troy’s parents ran a Safari Camp on the reserve.
They’ve been best friends since they could crawl, and spent many happy days playing in the mud and roaming around the bush in search of adventure.
They still joke about their incredible childhood, and the adventures and dangers they often faced. Their tales around the campfire are captivating.
There are many great Rangers and Bush Guides in the Country. However, a good guide doesn’t always make a great Host or Hostess. You will be looked after by this team from the moment your eyes open, early morning with your first cup of coffee to your last glass of wine after dinner. They are informative, caring and have an amazing eye for detail, both in and out of the Bush
The Lodge is an authentic Kruger Bush Lodge, built 70 years ago and carefully modernised with all the creature comforts, yet without having lost its age-old authenticity.
It is situated in a remote area in the North-Eastern section of the Klaserie Reserve, bordering on the Kruger National Park. It is completely unspoilt and rich in game.
The traversing rights are larger than 10,000 hectares with the option to meander further afield should specific sightings warrant it.
Vistas from the pool deck are spectacular with uninterrupted views over the plains featuring a water hole with regular wildlife sightings.
The rooms are very comfortable, cosy and air-conditioned. The lounge & dining room are furnished in a welcoming, comfortable style, reminiscent of bygone colonial Safari times.
Sabre & Troy or David will lead an informative, thrilling, and unforgettable hike in the wild.
The itinerary is flexible and on many an occasion altered to accommodate that unpredicted roar signalling a potential sighting.
On occasion, if there has been a recent sighting, the Rangers may depart from the Lodge in a Game Drive vehicle until the tracks have been picked up. Then everyone will disembark and enjoy a tracking experience which hopefully results in a sighting.
The afternoon hike is sometimes combined with a game drive allowing us to venture farther afield & ends with sun-downers, completing the daily experience.
Then after freshening up relax with a drink around the fire or in the lounge, followed by a delicious dinner.
