What’s it all about?
Re-Treat your mind and body with a weekend Breakaway in the village of Jacobsbaai, less than one and a half hours drive from Cape Town.
Escape to the West Coast, settle into your comfortable & cosy accommodation and soak up the splendour of this relatively untouched seaside town.
Unwind with easy yoga classes in the movement room or on the beach. Enjoy delicious nutritious meals prepared with the freshest, locally sourced produce.
To really experience the West Coast we will take a scenic 5 km walk through the Jacobsbaai Bio Nature Reserve to an old open-air veld Boma for a “Ladies Braai/picnic”.
This is not just about Yoga, you will enjoy both a flower arranging class and a pottery class where you can arrange to have your ‘creation’ shipped to you. During your free time take time for self-meditation, wander through the famous fynbos or beach, and enjoy a Pamper Treatment. 1 of your choice is included in the package but feel free to pre-book more for your account. There is also a heated sea-water and seaweed bath for use in your free time to relax and detox.
Locally and sustainably hand-harvested seaweed baths
Seaweed naturally absorbs its nourishment from the sea, with over 80% of the seaweed plant being made up of essential minerals, vitamins, and other bioactive compounds.
Immersing yourself in a nutrient-rich seaweed bath, allows your body to absorb the benefits of these naturally occurring essential minerals, vitamins and other bioactive compounds.
Seaweed is rich in naturally occurring iodine, calcium, magnesium, and vitamins E and F – leaving your body feeling cleansed, refreshed and energised.
The antioxidant and mineral compounds found naturally in seaweed have long been known to have pronounced anti-ageing, conditioning, repairing and hydrating effects on both the body and mind.
Seaweed bathhouses are a tradition in Ireland, as the wonderfully positive effects on the body have been appreciated for many centuries since the Edwardian times.

The farm reserve has the most concentrated variety of species of wildflowers found anywhere on the Cape West coast.
There are more than 80 species of veld and fauna found on the property, and the unique limestone ridges on the farm create their own unique watering system for them.
The open-air veld boma where lunch is served was built in approximately 1930 and was constructed with sandstone and cow dung.
